Release from the Toledo Lucas County Public Library

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library (TLCPL) and WGTE Public Media proudly announce an exciting new partnership to bring the local community a captivating video series, "Toledo Stories." This collaborative effort seeks to preserve and share the rich history, culture, and stories of the Toledo region with a broader audience. The videos cover a variety of topics, including Cherry Street Mission, birding, Jeep, glassblowing, and much more!

"We believe that storytelling is a powerful tool for connecting people, and these videos will serve as a living testament to the richness of our community's history." Jason Kucsma, TLCPL Executive Director said. "Our shared mission with WGTE is to ignite curiosity, spark conversations, and build an even stronger sense of pride among our residents in the 419!"

WGTE's Toledo Stories series celebrates and documents the people, places, and moments that built Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan into the strong and vibrant region we live in. Over 100 Toledo Stories have been produced throughout the series' 20-year existence, providing viewers near and far with rich history and entertainment.

"We are very proud of our Toledo Stories, which really is at the core of our mission as a public broadcaster; to educate, inform, engage, and entertain. Partnering with the Toledo Lucas County Public Library provides a logical location for access and learning for all. This series highlights individuals, places, organizations, and institutions that make up the very fabric of who we are in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan," says Ray Miller, WGTE Director of Content and Creative Services.
