Beyond Big Bird, Books and Beginnings
Beyond Big Bird, Books and Beginnings is a project of the Early Learning and Outreach Department of WGTE Public Broadcasting and is funded by a Ready to Lead in Literacy grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Working with area organizations in WGTE's broadcast area, we will conduct a series of three workshops for parents of children ages 0-8 years. Two of the workshops are for parents only - the third is for parents and children together. At each FREE WORKSHOP, parents will be able to take home two storybooks.

- Parents who attend all three workshops, will be rewarded with additional books!
- Each workshop is 1 ¼ hrs. in length and focused on reading readiness activities to help children get ready to learn.
- The workshops can be held wherever parents meet - a minimum of 10 reservations are needed for each session.
