Ross Hocker
Ross Hocker is the host of MORNING EDITION, weekdays at 6 a.m. and MORNING MUSIC WITH ROSS HOCKER, weekdays at 9 a.m. He has been with FM 91 for nearly 15 years.
His favorite music includes Ruby my Dear by Thelonious Monk, the Three Burlesques by Bela Bartok and Funeral March of a Marionette by Charles Gounod. He has been known to play some offbeat selections like Fragments Psychologiques by Lord Berners.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. While attending Wittenberg, he worked for the university's radio station, WUSO, producing fine arts, public affairs and music programs.
Ross was the producer of fine arts, academic affairs and classical music programs for WBKY/WUKY at the University of Kentucky in Lexington; announcer for WGUC in Cincinnati; jazz, classical and world music programmer and producer for WSKG in Binghamton, New York; and classical music programmer for WOUB at Ohio University in Athens.
Ross frequently speaks at the Lima Symphony, hosting discussions about the concerts.
