Luke and Andrea Bartolomeo, piano duet

Executive director of the Perrysburg School of Music, Luke Bartolomeo has been involved in the education of young musicians for over ten years. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance with honors from Bowling Green State University in 1995. As a student under the tutelage of Jerome Rose and Dr. Walter Baker, he received the Outstanding Achievement Award for a pianist in 1993. In 1994, he was awarded honorable mention in the Nena Wideman piano concerto competition in Shreveport, Louisiana and was a finalist in the Altoona-Mozarteum piano competition. He has furthered his studies at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy.
At the 2004 national conference of the Music Teachers National Association, Mr. Bartolomeo presented one of the music technology sessions and wrote an atricle on the same topic that appeared in the professional journal Keyboard Companion.
Andrea Bartolomeo serves as artistic director of the Perrysburg School of Music and has over ten years of teaching experience. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance (pedagogy, literature, and accompanying emphases) from Bowling Green State University where she studied with Jerome Rose and Virginia Marks. She has also completed extensive graduate studies in Organ Performance with Dr. Vernon Wolcott.
Her additional past experience includes serving as the Director of Music and Organist of St. Aloysius Parish in Bowling Green where she oversaw a five-year organ project which resulted in the installation of the Letourneau pipe-organ (Op. 63). She has also served as organist at St. Rose Parish, Perrysburg and as sub-dean of Toledo Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
She is currently appointed as a center representative of the Royal American Conservatory Examinations at the Bowling Green center location. She has served as adjudicator for competitions and festivals of the Ohio Music Teachers Association, and is an active member of Music Teachers National Association, Ohio Music Teachers Association, and Monday Musicale. She is a regular participant in the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy.
As a piano duet team, Luke and Andrea Bartolomeo have performed in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Texas. They have released two CDs of their duet repertoire, including one disc consisting of Luke's arrangements of sacred melodies. Luke and Andrea reside in Perrysburg with their Newfoundland dog, Rosie, and cat, 'Izzy'. In his free time, Luke enjoys cooking, skiing, and winemaking.
