The Perotti-Dutt Duo
June 6, 2003
The Perotti-Dutt Duo has captured the
attention of critics and the public for their exemplary fusion of
musicality and virtuosity in four-hand piano repertoire.
The duo, consisting of the Italian, Cristina Perotti and
Tiffin-native Laurence Lynn Dutt, was formed in 1984 at the
Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy. The duo has been
receiving growing critical acclaim through their extensive
concertizing in Europe, South American, and the United States,
including their debut in New York City at Weill Recital Hall
at Carnegie Hall. They have been invited as judges of piano
competitions, as instructors of Masterclasses and Four-Hand
Piano courses, and to play live on television and radio. The
Perotti-Dutt Duo has produced two educational videos, and their
recordings (and world premieres) are available on the Electric
Records label. The duo's vast repertoire is the result of works
written expressly for them and their extensive and meticulous
research at libraries throughout the United States and Europe.
