Mezzo-soprano Stacey Rishoi is rapidly coming to the attention of orchestras and opera companies throughout North America and abroad for the beauty and power of her instrument and her superb musicianship. She has performed the coveted role of Jo in Mark Adamo's Little Women as her debut role at Central City Opera and at Opera Omaha. Her Utah Opera debut was as Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus. At Kentucky Opera she appeared as Mercedes in Carmen and at the Lyric Opera of Kansas she appeared as the Second Lady in The Magic Flute, a role she will repeat at the 2003 Macau International Music Festival. She has performed the role of Arsamene in Handel's Xerxes at Wolf Trap Opera and returned this past summer to sing Sesto in her first performances of La Clemenza di Tito.
Bass-baritone Zeffin Quinn Hollis is swifly becoming recognized for his delicious portrayals of opera's most famous rogues and devils. His 2003/2004 season includes Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen at Wichita Grand Opera. He will perform the roles of the Four Villains in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman at Palm Beach Opera. At Opera Pacific he played Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata and also recently made his debut with Ocean State Lyric Opera of Rhode Island as Sharpless in Madame Butterfly. Equally skilled at comedies, he has created revealing and witty portrayals of Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro; Guglielmo in Così fan tutte and Haly in Rossini's The Italian Girl in Algiers, as well as the Father in Hänsel and Gretel.
