Q.  How do I reach the WGTE Member Services Department if I have questions about my membership?

A.  You can reach us at (419) 380-4641, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For calls after 4:30 p.m, please leave your name and number and your call will be returned within one business day. Emails can be sent to WGTEM.

Q.  How long does it take to receive Thank You Gifts ordered during a pledge drive?

A.  It normally takes four to six weeks to receive a Thank You Gift. In order to speed delivery to you, we try and ship the gift out the day we receive them. If you are paying your membership on a monthly basis, 25% of the pledge or three payments must be paid, before the item is shipped.

Q.  Do I get a receipt for my contribution?

A.  We send a thank you letter out, once your gift has been received. In addition, and in accordance of IRS rules, we mail a tax receipt with a full accounting of all gifts received within a calendar year. These are sent in mid-January for the preceding year.

Q.  Is my donation tax-deductible?

A.  Contributions to WGTE Public Media are tax-deductible. However, IRS regulations require that your contributions must be reduced by the Fair Market Value of any goods or services you receive. The Fair Market Value is what you would reasonably expect to pay for an item, not WGTE's cost, which is considerably lower. For additional tax information, we urge you to consult your personal financial advisor.

Q.  Why does WGTE Public Media have on-air membership drives?

A.  The largest, single source of funding for WGTE Public Media comes from viewers and listeners like you. On-air membership drives are the easiest and most-effective way for us to reach new supporters. Our membership drives are an invitation to others to join you in supporting quality programming.

Q.  I just sent my renewal.  Why am I still getting notices?

A.  To be as cost-efficient as possible, we print and send our notices in bulk. This means that it may take a few weeks for a renewal letter to get to you. If your contribution and our notice have crossed in the mail, please disregard the notice and accept our apologies.

Q.  I am moving, how do I keep receiving "Be Connected"?

A.  If at any time you need to make a change to your address or if you no longer wish to receive our program guide, please contact Member Services at (419) 380-4641.

Q. Does WGTE Public Media exchange, sell or trade membership lists?

A.  Your information is secure with us!  WGTE Public Media has had a long-standing policy of NEVER trading, loaning, selling or sharing our membership lists.
