Planned Giving

Your will can provide a way

Making a gift to WGTE in your will is a gift everyone can make. Your bequest, no matter what the size, will help to secure the future of public TV and radio in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

If you value the programming and educational services that WGTE provides to our community, please take the time to include us in your estate plan. By doing so, you will make an investment in quality broadcasting and education that will pay dividends time and time again.

How do I make a bequest to WGTE?

Making a bequest to WGTE is neither difficult nor expensive. If you are making a will, or updating an existing will, simple language can be inserted to make a bequest to the Public Broadcasting Foundation of Northwest Ohio. If you already have a will, you can add WGTE by means of a simple codicil without redrafting the document.

How much should I give?

Only you can make that decision based on you and your family’s circumstances. As a guideline, it is critical that we be able to replace your ongoing annual support. It takes a gift to endowment equal to twenty times your annual gifts in order to maintain your level of support into the future.

If circumstances permit, you may want to consider endowing a specific program related to TV, radio or educational services. Give us a call to discuss your ideas.
