Excavating with Technology is a cooperative venture of the Toledo Public Schools, WGTE Public Broadcasting, and Springfield Local Schools. Made possible through a

grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, it will offer elementary students the opportunity to broaden their learning environments and make connections between their studies and experiences through the integration of distance learning technology with their regular study of archaeology.

Students and teachers involved in the project will be using this website throughout the 2000-01 school year to share their experiences and knowledge with others. Check back regularly to stay up-to-date on all the things they’re doing!

On the left are links to teachers’ pages. Here you can find lesson plans, resources, and galleries of student work. On the right are links to student pages, grouped according to their teacher’s name. Visit those pages to see journal entries and photographs, as well as archaeology-related games that the students have created!
