During the performance, renowned artist Felix de la Concha paints a dynamic portrait of the orchestra as seen from his chair, for the audience to watch in real time. This fusion of music and painting adds another layer of visual artistry to the orchestra€s already-nuanced performance.
Principal Conductor Stefan Sanderling leads the Toledo Symphony, and the viewers, through this unique and powerful experience.]]></description>

Flutist Mary Catherine (Katie) Jones is an orchestral and chamber musician, soloist, and instructor in Northwest Ohio. In addition to presenting solo recitals in the Eastern United States, she has also performed as Principal Flute with the Toledo Symphony, the Toledo Opera Orchestra, and the Hot Springs Festival Orchestra. She has also performed with the Savannah Sinfonietta and the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. She can be heard as principal flute and piccolo on the Naxos American Classics CDs, Edmond Dede - Orchestral Works and Louis Moreau Gottschalk - A Night in the Tropics.
Ms. Jones has given world premieres of contemporary music and has performed solo and chamber works at The University of Toledos Spring Festival of New Music, Bowling Green State University's New Music Festival, and at the International Alliance of Women in Music annual concert.
Ms. Jones has taught on the faculties of The University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and at Florida State University. She has given masterclasses at Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Ms. Jones received a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Florida State University.
Ms. Jones, along with her three homeschooled children, is looking forward to new musical venues as the family relocates throughout her husbands Army career.Harpist Julie Buzzelli is currently adjunct instructor of harp at Bowling Green State University. She is an accomplished performer who appears regularly as a freelance musician in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. As a chamber musician she works frequently with her husband, guitarist Chris Buzzelli, and with flutist Katie Jones. She has appeared twice on WGTEs award-winning program Live from FM 91, once with Katie Jones and violinist, Ioana Galu. In addition to a demanding performance schedule and teaching responsibilities at BGSU she is a sought-after teacher with a thriving private studio as well.
Ms. Buzzelli is the former principal harpist of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also played with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Lima Symphony Orchestra, American Wind Symphony Orchestra, Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra and Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist she has appeared with orchestras in the U.S. and Canada and toured the United States as a Young Artist under the auspices of the American Harp Society. Shes also performed in Holland, the Isle of Man, Israel, Switzerland and France.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Ms. Buzzelli received her Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University. She lives in Bowling Green with her husband and two very busy children.]]></description>
