  • Seeking Solutions to Senior Hunger

    Senior hunger and food insecurity are big problems nationwide and in our community. In Ohio, five percent of senior citizens are at risk of going hungry. More than 250,000 elderly Ohioans receive emergency food assistance. The risk of hunger is expected to grow 50 percent by 2015, while funding for food banks, senior programs and meal delivery is being slashed.

    The effort is comprised of a comprehensive public information campaign through TV, radio, print and the web, three live Town Hall television programs on WGTE TV; and community events.

The Grand Prize Drawing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014. 
The Grand Prize is a 2014 Cadillac ATS 3.6L Premium AWD Car OR a $50,000 cash prize.

Grand Prize Drawing The Grand Prize Drawing will be held at the Offices of WGTE and broadcast on WGTE TV at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014.
Early Bird Drawings $7,900 in cash prizes. The Early Bird drawings will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014. Tickets must have been purchased no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, to be eligible for Early Bird Drawing, as well as the Grand Prize Drawing.  One (1) prize of $1,000.00 cash Two (2) prizes of $500.00 cash each Eighteen (18) prizes of $250.00 cash each Fourteen (14) prizes of $100.00 cash each
$500 Bonus Drawings Bonus Prizes: Two (2) drawings worth $250.00 in cash each. The Bonus drawings on Friday, April 4, 2014. All tickets purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 are eligible for the Bonus Prizes, as well as the Grand Prize Drawing.
Grand Prize Drawing The Grand Prize Drawing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014. All tickets purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 will be entered in the January 24 Grand Prize Drawing.
