Teacher 2.0
TEACHER 2.0 is a professional development program focusing on using technology to promote engaging, thoughtful instruction, student centered learning and characteristics of EXCELLENT TEACHING. This series is designed to focus on student-guided learning and academic discovery as well as exploration of tools (iPads and Web 2.0) that foster the creation of model lessons which embed 21st century skills, specifically; collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. We are offering this class as the result of generous support from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation.
Participants must have an iPad 2 or higher to attend this series.
October 11: Introduction to iPad (Optional Session)
October 25: Excellent Teaching, 21st Century Skills & iPad Apps Exploration (REQUIRED)
November 1: Revised Ohio Standards, iPad Apps Integration & Web 2.0 Introduction (REQUIRED)
November 15: Creating a Model Lesson & Assessing Student Learning & Engagement (REQUIRED)
