Emerging Trends in Educational Technology: Blended Learning Class with optional Graduate Credit
We are happy to announce the Emerging Trends in Educational Technology blended learning professional development opportunity. This blended learning class takes place over the course of six weeks and involves five weeks of online coursework, discussions, and opportunities to come into the station for hands-on experience with emerging tech in the field of teaching. The course ends with a showcase event where the class will meet at the station and share final projects with the group.
This class will introduce users to new and emerging technology in the field of education and provide new ways to use existing technology. Participants will be asked to work with the technology they already have and to discover new techniques and possibilities for the classroom. All lessons will be designed to provide a deeper and functioning understanding of 21st Century Learning skills.
The classes will take place online during the week, and the work will be self-paced to fit with the often hectic schedules of our teachers. We will set up technology discovery days, where participants can come to the station for a few hours during the week and get hands-on experience with technology they may not have in their classroom.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends, develop new lessons, and create bonds with other local educators. Participants will earn 15-20 credit hours depending on their attendance. Everyone will have the opportunity to receive one hour of graduate credit from Lourdes University for an additional $200.00.
