Created especially for families and childcare providers, WGTE's Early Learning Department is a service which helps adults encourage young children in their natural curiosity and love of learning. Our programs combine quality, trusted television with community outreach and innovative educational materials to help build children's learning skills.

First Book Program First Book is a program that provides new storybooks for low-income children, birth through age 8, who live in Lucas, Wood or Ottawa Counties. WGTE works with local organizations and social service agencies to identify families and children who are income-eligible.
