Programming Changes on FM 91
Beginning in September, FM 91 adds four new and exciting programs to the schedule!
ELECTRONIC CURRENTS - WGTE is pleased to announce the return of Electronic Currents with Richard Paton to the air, in a new expanded version. Electronic Currents airs Fridays from 10:00 p.m. - Midnight, beginning September 6.
TED RADIO HOUR - NPR's weekly digest of the popular TED Talks, hosted by Guy Raz, makes its WGTE debut on Sunday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m., right after On Being with Krista Tippett.
PULSE OF THE PLANET - A two minute sound portrait of Planet Earth, Pulse of the Planet airs at 1:00 p.m. weekdays, (between Here and Now and Afternoon Classics).
NEW MUSIC FROM BOWLING GREEN - WGTE's first nationally-syndicated radio series, New Music from Bowling Green presents music by living composers which is actually introduced by those composers. The program is being distributed to stations around the country via The WFMT Radio Network in Chicago. It begins airing locally on WGTE-FM on Sunday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m.
In addition to the program changes mentioned above, PIPEDREAMS will move from Friday nights to Sunday mornings between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., beginning September 1. Also, concerts from the CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER will not return to the Sunday morning lineup (replaced by Ted Radio Hour), and CLASSICAL GUITAR ALIVE will go on hiatus until January 2014 (replaced by NEW MUSIC FROM BOWLING GREEN).
