Weeknights at 8:00 p.m.

Every weeknight at 8:00 p.m., FM 91 features live performances from the nation's top-ranking orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Thursday evenings feature outstanding local ensembles in live performance on "WGTE in Concert," including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Lima Symphony Orchestra, the Firelands Symphony, Toledo Opera and the Masterworks Chorale.

    Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. (April through September)

    Music Director Franz Welser-Möst and The Cleveland Orchestra dance through this broadcast season beginning with Stravinsky’s Agon, Ballet for Twelve Dancers and ending with the dance of the seven veils in a fully staged production of Salome. In between, we'll hear The Firebird, Kodály’s Dances of Galánta, ballet music from Aida and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.

    With music director Alan Gilbert, one of the youngest music directors in the Orchestra's history and the only native New Yorker to hold the post, and your Emmy Award-winning actor and host, Alec Baldwin, The New York Philharmonic This Week, this year's 52 weekly two-hour broadcasts will be taken from virtually the Orchestra's entire 2011-2012 subscription season.

    WGTE In Concert is "our weekly celebration of the performing arts - music made in the FM 91 listening area by resident musicians, as well as visiting ensembles and soloists." The orchestras of Toledo and Lima are mainstays, with additional concerts from the Masterworks Chorale, Toledo Opera, the Firelands Symphony and other local organizations.
