    WGTE In Concert is our weekly celebration of the performing arts - music made in the FM 91 listening area by local musicians and visiting artists. The orchestras of Toledo and Lima are mainstays, with additional concerts from the Masterworks Chorale, Toledo Opera, and other local organizations. Produced and hosted by Brad Cresswell.

    Since its early days, Lyric Opera of Chicago has been regarded as one of the top three US opera companies, along with the Met and San Francisco.  Chicago boasts an opera company that's second to none, with a box office exceeding 100 percent of capacity each year for the last decade, thanks to subscribers who give their tickets back for resale when they cannot attend a performance.

    Hosted by Larry Wagner, "Portraits in Swing" has been a part of FM 91’s Saturday evening programming for 10 years. Each week the program profiles big band swing artist, group or era, from both past and present. Listeners hear historic radio broadcasts direct from America’s ballrooms and studio sessions pairing up vocalists or band leaders.

Each one-hour program presents pre-collegiate musicians whose stunning individual performances are combined with lively interviews, unique pre-produced segments, lighthearted sketches and musical games. From the Top has taped more than 230 radio broadcasts in America's premier concert halls, reaching more than 200,000 live audience members in 33 states.
