Chris Peiffer is WGTE-FM's Operations and On-Air Fundraising Manager and Senior Producer...or as the staff calls him, "The Voice of WGTE."
Chris has been with WGTE since March 2003. At WGTE, he’s responsible for daily operations, non-profit announcements, on-air fundraising and production of programs. He is also the voice on many of WGTE-FM 91 and WGTE-TV underwriting announcements. Chris also created the music for the WGTE Documentary, Toledo Ballet: Reverence.
Born in Fostoria, Chris began working in radio at local stations WFOB, Fostoria and WBVI, Findlay, when just a lad of 15. He was hired full time by the stations following his college graduation in 1996. Chris is married to Michelle, and they have a son named Ethan and a daughter named Emily.
In his spare time, Chris spends free time with his family and friends, running Half Marathons and 5Ks, traveling, spending time outside, freelance voice work, and creating and mixing music in his home studio. He also helps coach Cross Country, Basketball, and Track for St. Pat's of Heatherdowns School. Chris completed his first Full Marathon in October of 2014.
