When the school becomes the heart of a neighborhood - students, parents and neighbors all contribute to the well-being of each and every child.

    WGTE brings attention to the Graduation Coaches initiative.  United Way AmeriCorps members serve Toledo in a very targeted way, furthering United Way’s education work by serving as Graduation Coaches in Toledo Public Schools. These coaches guide and support students in developing a tangible plan to achieve graduation in four years, prepared for the next step. AmeriCorps recruits and coordinates members while also promoting volunteerism and personal development.

    The Toledo Chamber of Commerce and Knowledgestream presented a live webstream of the first 2012 installment of the Eggs 'n' Issues series of community discussions. 

    The "Learning to Work Series" will spotlight the progress made by the Toledo Public Schools during the first year of their innovative "Transformation Plan."  Two different panels were featured to discuss the plan's successes and potential future opportunities.
