Antiques Roadshow: Eugene, Part 1

Monday, January 27 at 9:00 p.m.

The Roadshow heads to beautiful Eugene, Oregon.

Host Mark L. Walberg and appraiser Ken Farmer stop by the banks of the scenic McKenzie River for a bit of fishing and a look into the antique fly fishing gear market.

Other program highlights include a collection of signed baseball Hall of Famer Ty Cobb memorabilia dating back to the early 1950s; an original Rosemary’s Baby drawing by art designer Clem Hall, rescued from a Paramount Pictures dumpster; and a 1919 oil painting by Norman Rockwell, entitled The Little Model.

Photo: Appraiser Nan Chisholm evaluates an original 1919 Norman Rockwell painting, an illustration called “The Little Model,” that appeared on the cover of Collier’s Weekly magazine that year. The painting, given by Rockwell to the owner’s great grandmother and kept in his family for more than ninety years, was appraised at an insurance value of $500,000.
