Workshop: Monday, October 15, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Code.org is hosting a FREE one-day workshop for K-5 educators interested in teaching computer science.

The workshop is based on code.org's elementary school curriculum that allows even the youngest students to explore the limitless world of computing. Courses blend online, self-guided and self-paced tutorials with "unplugged" classroom activities that require no computer.

Educators will receive in-person instruction from an experienced computer science facilitator, including an intro to computer science, pedagogy, curriculum overview, teacher dashboard, and more! They'll also receive:
  • A printed curriculum guide
  • Certificate of completion
  • Classroom supplies for the unplugged lessons
  • Fun Code.org swag
WGTE will provide a working breakfast and lunch.
