Have you seen Ohio’s Revised Learning Standards in Technology but aren’t sure what to do next?
Join the ODE for an introduction to the skills and knowledge that make up the revised technology standards and what they look like for the grade level and content area that you teach!
This professional development will provide teachers with an opportunity to plan how they’ll use the tech standards in their classes. The approach to the series—and the revised standards themselves—focuses not on the technology or the digital tools, but on how to use those tools in alignment with the revised standards thereby supporting instructional learning objectives.
The session will feature activities to familiarize participants with the revised standards and to make connections to content areas. Participants will have time to visualize and to plan methods by which to integrate instruction and identify areas where they may need additional support. Areas that teachers identify as requiring more support will serve as guideposts for future professional development content.
To close the session, presenters will introduce the Learning Management System for Ohio Education. Participants will be able to enroll in the online platform and continue learning and discussing standards-related issues with fellow educators.
