Next month you can join in celebrating women’s contributions in the United States. March has been declared National Women’s History Month by Congress since 1987 and each President since 1995.
The theme for 2019, "Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Nonviolence," offers opportunities to honor women who have advocated for an end to war, violence and injustices. We can celebrate and honor these efforts at home and in the classroom by contacting influential women, viewing past Women’s Marches and discussing them or researching and presenting about powerful women in history.
