WGTE Hosts Free Family Fun Day
TOLEDO, Ohio – WGTE Public Media invites the community to its annual Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter. The educational event is designed for families with young children and includes games, activities, a puppet show and more.
Kids and their parents can meet Peg + Cat, Super Why and Alpha Pig from the popular PBS KIDS shows on WGTE PBS KIDS and WGTE HD. Free and open to the public, the event will feature literacy, science and math activities. Registration is not required.
Come meet live animals from the Toledo Zoo, create art with representatives from the Metroparks Toledo, explore emergency vehicles from Sylvania Fire and Rescue, greet therapy dogs from Chapter 122 Therapy Dogs International, blast off with stomp rockets from the Imagination Station, work on letter crafts with Toledo Lucas County Public Library, pick up books from Books 4 Buddies and more.
