The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert in remembrance of the city's Tree of Life Synagogue tragedy. On October 27, 2018, a gunman killed 11 people and wounded several others during Shabbat services. "A Concert for Peace and Unity," aims to provide an opportunity for the community to find comfort and strength during an evening of music and readings. Renowned Israeli-American violinist Itzhak Perlman will join music director Manfred Honeck, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for this performance at the city's historic Heinz Hall.
