MUHAMMAD ALI brings to life one of the best-known and most indelible figures of the 20th Century, a three-time heavyweight boxing champion who captivated millions of fans with his mesmerizing combination of speed, grace, and power in the ring, and charm and playful boasting outside of it. Ali insisted on being himself unconditionally and became a global icon and inspiration to people everywhere. Screener Event

WGTE Public Media presents an exclusive virtual livestreamed screening event showcasing clips from the highly anticipated Ken Burns, Sarah Burns and David McMahon documentary series, MUHAMMAD ALI. The event will be livestreamed from WGTE Public Media on Thursday, September 16 @ 7:00 pm.
 
Following the screening interact with filmmaker Sarah Burns as she discusses the making of MUHAMMAD ALI and then take part in a panel discussion with Toledo Mayor, Wade Kapszukiewicz, Toledo super middleweight boxing pro, Dre “The Axeman” Ware, Scott High School Principal, Dr. Carnel Smith, and Founder and Owner of the International Boxing Club, Harry Cummins. Facilitated by councilwoman, Vanice Williams, these Toledo heavyweights attribute Ali’s success to the impact boxing has on Toledo’s underserved youth.
