Reel Opinions: A More Perfect Union: Inspiring Civic & Civil Conversation

Join WGTE Public Media at Way Public Library for this month’s Reel Opinions screening. Each month, a PBS documentary is selected designed to spark thoughtful conversation across a variety of genres.

In A More Perfect Union: Inspiring Civic & Civil Conversation, viewers join Ken Burns, Jeffrey Rosen and other leading voices as they explore the essential themes of liberty, equality, democracy and separation of powers. Rooted in the ideas articulated 250 years ago at America's founding, the discussion examines how those principles have shaped the nation's ongoing story. The special traces the enduring relevance of those values and what they mean for the conversations about governance we are having today.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to reflect, share perspectives and engage in community dialogue.

Free and open to the public.
