Business Development Assistant

WGTE Public Media is seeking a full-time Business Development Assistant. This role provides administrative and operational support for sponsorship, sales, and community partnerships across radio, television, and digital platforms by coordinating communications, preparing documents, maintaining records, tracking contracts and deliverables, and assisting with reporting and research. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and collaborative, with discretion in handling confidential information and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. An associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior administrative or customer service experience is also required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Occasional evening or event support may be required.

Custodian/Maintenance

WGTE Public Media is seeking a part-time Custodian/Maintenance team member to support day-to-day operations by maintaining a clean and safe facility. This role is responsible for routine custodial services, mail processing, general building maintenance and minor repairs.

The ideal candidate has prior custodial and maintenance experience. A valid driver’s license is required.

Production Intern

WGTE InternThe WGTE Production Intern will spend the semester working with WGTE Public Media’s production crew. This unpaid internship includes the opportunity to shoot on various professional cameras, edit with the Adobe Creative Cloud software, and learn audio and lighting techniques. Interns will also join the production crew in providing live video feeds for event coverage and streaming.

Broadcast Engineer

WGTE Public Media is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting the technical infrastructure for the organization’s television and radio broadcast operations, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with FCC and industry standards. Responsibilities include maintaining broadcast, studio, and production equipment; troubleshooting signal impairments and system issues; assisting with system upgrades and integration; and collaborating with engineering, IT, and other departments to support daily operations and long-term technical projects. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment while communicating complex technical information clearly.

An associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in electronics, broadcast engineering, information technology, or a related field is required, along with at least three years of experience in broadcast engineering or technical operations. Working knowledge of RF transmission, audio and video systems, electronics, and IP networks is required. Experience with broadcast automation systems, video servers, encoders, or STL/TSL systems and familiarity with CAD software or technical schematics are preferred. Occasional field work at transmitter sites or remote productions may be required, along with the ability to lift equipment and work in elevated or confined spaces.
