Apples to Zebras
Apples to Zebras is an innovative early learning initiative from WGTE Public Media! It’s an exciting series of 26 short videos — one for each letter of the alphabet — and each one is paired with an iconic Lucas County landmark. These engaging videos help instill letter recognition and sound awareness in young learners, giving them skills that can help them succeed in school. In addition, Apples to Zebras videos are designed to encourage families to get out an explore everything that makes Lucas County and great place to live and play!

About the Host
Kelsey Kaczala has been an elementary school music teacher for over a dozen years and is a graduate of Maumee High School and Bowling Green State University. A lifelong vocalist, she especially enjoys singing Broadway music, and she played lead roles in such musicals as West Side Story, The Sound of Music and Hello Dolly. She strives to inspire her students every day — just as they inspire her — and she brings her energy to Apples to Zebras as well, helping inspire young learners to discover the alphabet and local landmarks.
