Beyond Sight: A Legacy of Empowerment

For more than a century, the Sight Center of Northwest Ohio has been a beacon of independence, empowerment and community for people who are blind or visually impaired. This documentary traces the organization’s story from its earliest days, when the community united to change lives through decades of growth in recreation, industry, rehabilitation and advocacy. 

"It's hard to pack over 100 years into a 30-minute film, but we've captured the essence of our mission of empowering independence and enriching the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired," says Tim Tegge, Executive Director of The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio.  

Interwoven with memories and personal stories, it highlights the life-changing services offered today and the evolving technology shaping tomorrow. At its heart, it is a celebration of resilience, community and a vision that continues to shine brighter into the future.
