On the Come Up with Libby and Riley

The (Not-So) Kid Journalist with Jaden Jefferson

Toledo

Local and National journalist Jaden Jefferson had a unique beginning to his career. At just 11 years old, Jaden got the opportunity to interview Senator Elizabeth Warren, turning into a whirlwind period of public appearances as the “kid journalist.” But Jaden didn’t get into this industry for the warmth of the public eye. Now, an 18-year-old preparing for his freshman year in college, Jaden spends this episode discussing why he pursued journalism with a focus on politics, the state of the media industry, and how external factors like sustainable business models and AI are impacting journalists around the country.
