In Becoming Thurgood, viewers explore the life and legacy of Thurgood Marshall, the nation’s first African American Supreme Court justice. Known as “Mr. Civil Rights,” Marshall’s groundbreaking legal career with the NAACP led to his historic 1967 appointment to the Supreme Court. The film traces his journey, his impact on civil rights law, and the enduring influence of his work.
Following the screening, attendees are invited to reflect, share perspectives and engage in community dialogue.
