On this premiere episode of Improv 419, we are joined by improviser, teacher, and champion of embracing your weird, Katie Burkhardt. We cover her journey from Level 1 student to Level 1 teacher, discuss how improv builds community, and what it means to “ignore the audience” when performing. It’s a conversation about fear, connection, and the joy of getting silly with friends.
From Toledo, Ohio Linsey started doing improv in 2022 but has been unofficially practicing since childhood, thanks to a very "Yes, and" family. After 12 Years away, living in Florida and New York, she returned to Toledo and found her happiest self in the local improv scene. She's excited to sit down with people she admires in the comedy community, learn about their experiences, and share the joys of improv with the world!
