On the Come Up with Libby and Riley

Toledo’s Current Sound with Tanner Wertz

Toledo Music Scene

Local musician Tanner Wertz has chased his love of music since the 5th grade. After educating himself on classic artists and learning guitar, Wertz played in marching bands, pit bands for musicals, and eventually formed his own band, The Currents. Wertz stays busy in the Toledo music scene, also, by freelance writing about local artists and bands - giving him the unique vantage point on the topic by being a participant and observer. Wertz discusses his band’s upcoming album, his take on the “growing pains” of our local music, and plays “Hit or Miss” with popular artists.
