WGTE Public Media’s Be My Neighbor Day 2026

Save the Date!

This year's Be My Neighbor Day at the Toledo Zoo is Monday, August 10!

This event is open to everyone – with free Zoo entrance for Lucas County residents.

Children and their families and caregivers are invited to the Toledo Zoo on Monday, August 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to participate in WGTE Public Media’s Be My Neighbor Day! 

At this event, children will meet Daniel Tiger from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and participate in engaging educational activities that promote kindness and friendship. Crafts and activities include assembling care packets, sharing messages of kindness for TV, making a door hanger with a kindness message, making Daniel Tiger and friends masks and more! We will have lots of Daniel Tiger fun!
